is physics still interesting ?

is doing research in physics still interesting?

lately, I am thinking to where I should step out my way of a career. I have learned physics since I undergraduate until today where I almost finish my master study, indeed, in physics. not to forget when I pursued my previous study in Paris where I tried something different of research field which is biophysics area. then I came as a "fail" man, a loser that gets back without bringing anything but some bad memories.
you may call me as a Mr. perfectionist, I am trying to be perfect even for my career choice. I am trying to be a man who can do everything, a man who wants to learn everything.
now, if we look to some fundamental physics findings, mostly the fundamental problems already been solved range from elementary particles, energy. for example, the energy. we need to harness a huge amount of energy then we got the nuclear technology. but then, we faced some environmental problems that bring us to vigorously chase after the renewable energy resources. some of the renewable energy resources have been explored such as energy from solar, biomass, hydrogen, hydropower, wind turbine. Elon Musk says

"If solar is 20% efficient at turning solar energy into power, as it has been in lab tests, we'd only need to cover a land area about the size of Spain to power the entire Earth renewably in 2030" — just like Musk said.

basically the technology to harness energy from the sun is already exist, the silicon solar cells. the only thing that still remain is just to improve the efficiency. not to forget to mention others new generation of solar cells, such as organic solar cells, or even perovskite solar cells. it's a matter of time that these kind of technology to be mature. new things probably just to find out new materials that may enhance their efficiency. that's all !

as for energy storage technology, so far we have been using the Lithium ion battery since long time ago. nowadays, researchers develop the battery still using Lithium ion as its main material.

Today, most of the people on earth have ever used computer, even a personal computer such as PC, laptop, or tablet. the facilities on the personal computer can do almost anything we want start from computing, simulating, and even interaction with the pc more easier using smart "touchscreen".

Basically, the basic needs of human being to make their life easier has been fulfilled with the technology around them. the big issue today is might be the environmental issue such as how to implement green materials to technology application in order to have low impact to environment in the future.
